This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
The scholars in our second grade classroom all come from a very diverse background, both socioeconomically and culturally. Nearly all of the students come from a low-income household that cannot afford to purchase headphones and supplies throughout the entire year.
These young scholars come in every morning eager to learn in fun and exciting ways.
This class thrives on learning in new, fun and interesting ways! They really get the most out of learning when they can show off their knowledge in many different modalities.
My Project
The bean bag chairs are a huge help to promote focus during our eSpark center which requires great focus, as well as, a comfortable place for the scholars to grab a book and go read!
The headphones with a built in microphone will have a tremendous impact on the scholars ability to make clear and focused videos for their eSpark Quests to demonstrate their amazing knowledge.
The stability ball seats will be placed at the STEM center to help keep the scholars on task and focused. These seats will specially greatly impact those children who have a hard time staying focus on an assignment. These seats give the scholars a chance to move a little while also staying focused and on task.
