My Project
Have you ever been in a class where the teacher or professor drones on and on, while all you can think about is how uncomfortable your chair is? Students at the elementary level experience this all the time. They hate having to sit in the same place with the same uncomfortable chair day in and day out.
Allowing seating options in the classroom helps students to be more comfortable in their space.
My students have asked for balance discs and Big Joe beanbag chairs so they’re not stuck in plastic chairs or sitting on the floor. They requested a tall table so they can stand and work or sit on stools where their feet can dangle. Yoga mats provide the freedom of being on the floor and spreading out without being on a hard surface.
