The entire school voted this as a need for our building. The district helped build and place it for us. The entire school was able to enjoy the picnic table on field day at the end of last year. It provided a spot for students to eat lunch without needing to sit in the grass and bugs. (The cafeteria and playground were being used for field day.). It sits in a nice big grassy area that also allowed the students some unstructured free time on a crazy day.\r\nFast forward to this year, the temeratures have finally calmed down enough to see some classes going out for learning on the picnic benches. \r\nSo, many thanks for the bench. We have already started the year off using our stylus'. We are trying them out on our devices. Then, this week we started reviewing our printed letters. We love a sensory experience paired with that. We will continue to use them throughout the year as we move onto cursive. They are such a powerful in helping us to be learners. \r\n\r\nOther very helpful supplies have also been put to good use. The headphones were a lifesaver during our beginning of the year assessments. The Velcro holds our name tags with our QR codes nearby very well!
