My students are interested in learning how to use technology In the classroom that will create a sense of creativity and technology literacy. They are also interested in social emotional learning and mindfulness and learning about how they can help others.
My Project
To help my studnets move when they need I want to provide flexible seating. This will help them to have more breaks and be able to get their mind moving. I currently have a few exercise balls in my classroom and I have seen that it has helped my studnets be engaged and have more responsibility, because of this I want to get more. These chairs will also give me a seat to move around with my kids and be able to see them from anywhere in the classroom. 5th graders are going through a lot of physical changes and often just need a snack. These snacks will help them to get the energy needed when they are hungry. We have started using different multi syllable cards for practices and my studnets are using the papers every day. A laminator would help these papers stay in good shape for next year while also allowing us to clean them so we don't pass on germs. These books will teach my studnets some great social emotional skills needed in the classroom.
