These cute videos help keep my kindergarteners engaged. Five-year-olds aren't known for being able to pay attention for very long, so I love that the videos are all 4-7 minutes long. The students get a fun introduction or great review for our lesson standard. It holds their attention, but doesn't go on for so long that the kids stop paying attention.\r\n\r\nPlus it gives me a minute to pass out materials for our hands-on activity portion where we use other learning tools to practice the concept. The new resources have quickly become a highlight in our classroom. Students use the reading, math, spelling, and STEM bins daily, and their independence has grown tremendously. Their collaboration, testing, and problem-solving shows just how much these materials spark deeper thinking.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the students were thrilled—several cheered, and many immediately began planning what they wanted to explore first. Their excitement has continued, and they now look forward to choosing meaningful tasks when they finish early. Students have been eager to learn about the lives and contributions of people from different time periods, and they are excited to start working on their wax museum projects, using the information they have learned from these books. \r\n\r\nThe markers have added a fun, creative boost to our classroom and have helped keep students engaged in their learning.
