This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have 28 students in my classroom. They are five and six-year-olds who have spent a large chunk of their lives living in a pandemic. A lot of my students come from different countries and are learning English as their second language. I have students from Iran, Mexico, Portugal, and Iraq. My students are great examples of what it means to be resilient. They have lived through so many things in their short five and six years of life. This year has been extra hard on the kids.

My Project

I have 28 students in my classroom. They are five and six-year-olds who have spent a large chunk of their lives living in a pandemic. A lot of my students did not attend pre-school due to COVID 19 and have not been out of the household very much. My students have been struggling this year socially/emotionally being in full-day kindergarten and away from their parents. These flexible seating options would help give my students a safe place to learn. I will be using these in the classroom to give them options for learning.
