Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach a group of 18 preschoolers in a self-contained setting with special education needs. We have been using wooden chairs for a while now and these are very uncomfortable and hard for my preschoolers to sit on.

Although these chairs provide support for my students with special needs, the chairs are heavy to move and since my students sit during group activities, reading, circle time, tabletops and lunch/snack and do not want to sit and engage.

I want my students to be more comfortable with seating, so that learning can be effective and engaging. My goal is to help my students with sensory input by allowing them to move around more freely and comfortably when using the chairs that I am requesting funds for! Thank you in advance for your time and donations.
