My Project

Many students in my classroom have a variety of needs. Like most first graders, they have an abundance of energy and are often restless at their seats. Having the opportunity to create movement at their seats would eliminate students frequently leaving their seats to get additional sensory simulation in the classroom. Providing flexible seating options and wobble stools gives the students an opportunity to get out their wiggles without needing the use of their hands for fidgets or other distracting materials. Students will be able to remain on task and have the opportunity to get the stimulation they need without getting distracted from lessons being taught.

As first grade leaders we are striving to make great growth this year and eliminating distractions within the classroom in a positive manner with flexible seating can help to ensure our success in this.

I believe these seats would provide an opportunity for students to sit more comfortably. We currently have one TiltED Plus Seat in our classroom and my students love when they have the opportunity to use the chair. I'd love to be able to provide additional seats for the students to utilize as flexible seating on a daily basis. The stools are light weight and easy for the students to quickly move throughout the classroom.
