My Students

My students are fifth graders this year that have brilliant ideas and are always on the go! They love to be active and move all around the classroom. They are hard workers who love collaboration and helping others succeed.

Typical desk and chair seating isn't conducive to learning for them.

These students have brilliant minds, but don't have the means to reach their full potential. They need movement and flexibility!

My Project

When students are allowed the independence to choose to sit in an environment/arrangement that is conducive to their individual learning, learning and growth are maximized. With the limited flexible seating choices that are currently found in my classroom, I have seen tremendous growth in attentiveness from my learners. They find what works for them and they choose to be a solution seeker.

Students always exceed expectations when they are given the trust and respect to make choices that will help them be more successful.

I have the trust and respect for my students to know that with more flexible seating choices, they will make decisions that work best for them that helps learning occur in a substantial way.
