Flexible Seating For Active Minds

Help me give my students comfortable learning spaces where they can access more information, stay focused and meet kindergarten benchmarks. We need a couch, wobble seats, and more.

My Students

Kindergarten is such an important grade to build foundational skills for the rest of their education career. My classroom is learning so many important literacy, numeracy, and writing skills to further their education as well as starting to build relationships and social skills with peers. It is just as important to learn how to live in a community. They are so open minded and have the most amazing ideas to share which I like to enhance upon to further make connections in a fun learning environment.

My Project

My current classroom has a carpet, chairs and tables. My new classroom will have comfortable and flexible seating options for students to be able to work individually or in groups. The new furniture will provide my students the ability to open their mind up to responsible seating options to complete their academic work in order to meet the high expectations that are set for them daily. Think about it, would you rather complete your work in a hard chair, that you are bored and tired in...or in a comfortable bean bag, on a couch, or comfortably at a table? Students should have the same choices in their daily activities.

It will show them a love for learning, experiences and academia.

With seating choices in the classroom students will be able to retain more information, access more material, and stay focused on assignments.
