Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make choices that work best for them. During independent work times I allow students to choose a "work space" in our classroom that helps them focus and do their best work!

I have noticed amazing positives in my students when they are given a choice of flexible seating.

They are much more engaged, and get more work completed vs. when they are just sitting at their desk.

I would also use the flexible seating during small group/one on one time at my "teacher table." Small groups helps me to meet students where they are in smaller instructional groups. One on one instruction helps me to help my students on a deeper level when needed. Giving them a comfortable space to sit at during those times, vs. bringing a char with them, would be a big help!
