My Students

I have a classroom of 21 unique students. They all come from diverse backgrounds, and have many different life and home experiences. Our school population is 60% free and reduced lunch. We serve 600 students in grades 3-5.

All students learn differently, flexible seating will allow all students to give their best effort in any environment.

On any given day in my classroom, you can see students standing at their desk, sitting on bean bags, or working on the floor.

My Project

If you have ever been in a classroom of 4th graders, you know they get the wiggles. Yoga balls are a great way for them to get their wiggles out and stay focused on their work.

I asked my class what they thought would help them the most.

They are interested in trying the camp chairs. They think they will be more comfortable than regular classroom chairs.

4th graders focus better with a variety of seating options. Camp chairs and yoga balls are two options we do not currently utilize that I believe will help them focus and achieve to their highest potential.
