Help me give my students a Fashion Design Club. Students will learn both the artistic and business-oriented sides of the fashion industry. They will learn the process of fashion design from inspiration, sketching, constructing the garment, documenting it.

My Project

At Fashion Design Club, students will learn both the artistic and business-oriented sides of the fashion industry. They will learn the process of fashion design from inspiration, sketching, constructing the garment, documenting it, and then sharing it through a fashion show. In order to do this we will need sewing machines.

In addition to creating garments and accessories, students will also create a “brand” (by themselves or with friends) and use digital software to create a logo.

Students will have fun at this club while learning about this art form.

Many real-world jobs involve working in groups on projects and finding innovative solutions to problems with critical thinking. During fashion club students work together to create new designs.

Students spend all day learning theory. The sewing equipment requested will give students a chance to create something new and practice skills for a future career.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
