My Project

My 6th graders are amazing individuals, high-energy, caring, a bit chatty at times, but an overall engaged group of students whom I have had the privilege of teaching some technology tips, tools, and integration for going on 3 years! We are currently completing our Drone safety and coding unit. They are super excited to learn about drone safety and earn the FAA TRUST certification, which is valid for recreation flying drones for life, unless they lose the certificate.

I want to make sure they have an electronic "back-up" file of their TRUST certificate AND that they know how to save their digital content on a flash drive for easy portability and safe keeping.

This flash drive will be a useful device for storage for the rest of their lives, but it will also be used during our middle school years to save their 3D designs, to transfer the Tinkercad file from their Chromebooks to a Window's laptop, to prepare and convert that file to gx format, and finally to upload to the 3D printer for printing.
