This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, and my students face many challenges both in and out of the classroom. However, this school year I want to make sure that I am able to maximize their learning potential.

The students in my classroom are English Language Learners, low-income/high poverty, and they deserve modern technology.

Despite the many challenges they face, this school year we will overcome many of them together, and I would like each of my students to have access to their own Amazon tablet.

My Project

My students need Amazon Fire Kids Edition Tablets to help them during our intervention groups. I use intervention groups daily with my struggling students, and these tablets will help my students learn how to read.

These tablets will give my students access to many apps that can help them strengthen their reading fluency skills, grow their vocabulary, improve their reading comprehension, and further advance writing.

The possibilities are endless with technology. These tablets will allow my students to grow academically because of how engaging technology is with my kindergarten students.
