My Students

My students love to be active and enjoy all sorts of activities, including basketball, volleyball, soccer, team handball, flag football, ultimate frisbee, and many more.

I love my job because of my amazing students.

They come to class and they are so excited and ready to have fun, learn, and become more fit. For many of my students, PE is the only time throughout the week that they are getting exercise. I want this time to be valuable and teach them the importance of lifetime fitness.

COVID-19 has had a major impact on learning over the past year and a half. Many students have suffered because of what is going on at home. This carries over to their learning. They have been in and out of school and have had a hard time focusing on their education. For teachers, it has been a difficult time as well. For example, teachers can't get subs. So they either come to work sick or they don't show up and their is no one to cover for their classes. Most teachers at my school use their prep time to cover other classes, so they get zero time to prep or plan.

My Project

My students come to class so excited for PE. These materials will provide them with opportunities to play many different sports and activities. The equipment will be such a great benefit in providing a quality education to my students. I want to make each minute in class count.

The hope is to instill a love of making healthy choices and finding joy in fitness.

They will learn skills in the many different games that will allow them to use if for the rest of their lives and have a desire to always take care of their health.
