First Impressions Block Party! - A Linocut Printmaking Experience

Help me give my students a fantastic experience in the wonderful world of linocut printmaking! The Blick lino cutter sets, Speedball bench hooks, & Speedball press will be used over and over by my students for many years.

My Project

Please help our Visual Art students dive into linocut printmaking — carving original designs into linoleum blocks and pressing them onto paper to create bold, personal works rooted in a rich artistic tradition. Beyond technical skill-building, this project guides students through the full creative process: researching printmakers, developing original compositions, and refining their work through sketching, carving, and printing. Your support would help fund the carving tools, soft cut linoleum blocks, water-soluble inks, and a small press that will give every student access to a tactile, confidence-building experience. Some of these materials will be reusable and in the hands of our students, making beautiful artwork for years to come. Printmaking is vastly different from other art projects and a tremendous artistic experience that our students will never forget.
