My Students

I teach first grade students that have been impacted by COVID-19 in many ways. My students are creative and love hands-on learning. I want them to continue their love of learning through this very means of hands-on learning along with the virtual learning that they have mastered through online learning platforms because of COVID-19. I want to have printable decodable readers, books, and phonics manipulatives available in our classroom. I love introducing new books, which promotes an excitement for reading!

My Project

My students have been directly impacted by the effects of COVID-19. These first grade students have never experienced a normal school year, up to this point. The resources in this project will provide my students with classroom materials (blocks, straws, etc.) that will allow them to develop strong problem solving and technology skills needed in today's world. The products I have selected will help my students by providing them with additional seating options and effective learning choices. These materials will provide students with choice in their learning. I have seen that choice can positively affect students' work and demeanor.

When students are provided with choice in their learning, they are more engaged in their work!
