My Project

Project Description

Our medical club at PHS is excited to take action in our community by creating and distributing individual first aid kits and health pamphlets for families in need.

Many low-income families struggle to access basic health supplies, which can lead to preventable health issues. We aim to alleviate this by providing essential first aid kits during a food bank distribution event.

Community Impact

This initiative will directly benefit low-income families in our community by ensuring they have access to basic first aid supplies and education on how to care for wounds and prevent infections. By setting up a booth at the local food bank distribution, we aim to reach families who may not have the means to purchase these essential items. Additionally, students will gain valuable experience in community service and healthcare education.

Project Goals

Create Individual First Aid Kits: Assemble kits containing bandages, antiseptic wipes, adhesive tape, gauze pads, and health pamphlets on wound care and infection prevention.

Distribute Kits: Hand out individual first aid kits at a booth during the food bank distribution, providing information and answering questions about basic first aid.

Educate the Community: Share knowledge about proper wound care and infection prevention to empower families to manage minor injuries safely.

By participating in this initiative, students will see firsthand the impact of their efforts, reinforcing the importance of community service in the medical field.
