Help me give my students materials to foster play and learning. My students would love the dolls and sight word games. My hope is to fill the room with items that get them excited about coming to school.
I teach kindergarten at a small school on a reservation in Montana. My students come to school excited to learn every day. They enjoy painting, singing, showing me they know all their numbers and letters by shouting them across the room, and are looking forward to becoming amazing readers!
I have 22 children in my class and they are all so different and bring amazing characteristics to the mix.
They are so eager to know more about any and everything so I would love to set them up with the best materials possible to do that.
My Project
It's my first year teaching, therefore I don't have the build-up of supplies and other things that some veteran teachers do. I'm working on building up my stash! My students absolutely love free play and I really want to use the toys I chose to help them learn through play!
My students also really look forward to becoming more fluent readers.
I want to use sight word games/puzzles for new and fun ways to practice reading. They would be great for our daily stations.
