This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a high-school teacher who is starting an art club. This club will create a safe place for my students to go after school if they do not want to go home. We will create mixed media art pieces, learn about group collaboration, understand ourselves better, and build stronger relationships. The club must be 3 hours after school ends, due to an evening bus schedule to help students who do not have reliable transportation. I am responsible for providing food and drink to these students. As a first year teacher, I am not able to afford this, so I need your help to make sure they can be fed snacks and refreshments. Thank you.
