Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

If there's one thing that's the same across the board for every student its - Students are ALWAYS hungry! I have learned that having snacks on hand as a counselor is the best resource. I make sure my door is always open to students for their personal, school, mental health, AND hunger needs.

Having snacks on hand helps regulate and fuel the brain and body for students to be able to perform at their very best.

Snacks are a simple request that make a huge difference within the school day. Many students do not know where their next meal will come from. It brings comfort knowing I (we) can provide such a basic need to them. It will be very helpful for me to get this giant request for the rest of the semester!
