My Project

My students come from low income families and are always hungry! Scholars that are hungry do not perform as well. If your basic needs are not being met, you cannot concentrate.

I have developed a Feed and Read program.

Middle school scholars work on improving their academic reading skills, while getting a tasty snack to satisfy their hunger.

Along with packaged snacks to motivate them, I bring in a hot meal once a week and fresh fruit regularly. Full minds start with full bellies. Thank you for considering this project.
