My Students

As a music educator, I absolutely love teaching the students at our school! I have the wonderful opportunity to teach Band to 4th and 5th graders. It's wonderful to provide students the opportunity to express themselves through music. It is so rewarding!

The students are amazing and have so much enthusiasm, talent and potential!

They demonstrate a thirst for knowledge and a true love for music! The students tell me how much they love music and love the opportunity to learn how to play a musical instrument. Their enthusiasm is very contagious and truly warms my heart! They understand the importance of hard work and perseverance and they grasps concepts very quickly. Even while learning virtually during this pandemic, the students worked so hard to play their instruments. When they accomplish their goals when learning to play their instrument, their eyes light up!

My Project

These flutes will really allow our students to demonstrate their musical talents! When students are able to have hands on experiences while learning to play an instrument, it makes a huge difference in their growth as young musicians. I notice how students grasp various musical performance concepts better when they have instruments to play. They are more engaged and they recall more concepts. In addition, it helps improves the students' confidence level. The flutes will be utilized at school in band class and students will be able to take them home to practice.
