Fabulous Fine Motor!

Help me give my students fine motor materials to strengthen their finger muscles, and weighted blankets to help calm the kiddos who have the need.

My Project

Fine Motor skills are essential to early childhood development. Fine motor skills help children perform important tasks such as feeding themselves, grasping objects and writing. The ability to accomplish self-care and everyday tasks by using fine motor skills helps a child's self-esteem and confidence grow.

Fine motor skills involve small muscles working with the brain and nervous system to control movements in areas such as the hands, fingers, lips, tongue, and eyes.

Developing fine motor skills helps children do things like eating, writing, manipulating objects, and getting dressed.

The tweezers, sensory bin toys, sorting bowls, tongs, scoopers, colanders, Mr. Potato Heads, pom-poms, droppers, and fine motor games like Avalanche Fruit Stand and Noodle Knockout will help my preschoolers strengthen their fine motor skills. The weighted blankets will help my little learners who need the comfort and calming effect they bring.
