Eye-Catching Anchor Charts and Word Walls to Immerse English Learners!

Help me give my students eye catching anchor charts, word walls, and language boosters. If I could print these in color and laminate them, I could use them year after year. English learners NEED to see language all around them!

My Project

One way that students can be supported when learning a new language is by seeing commonly used phrases that they can use often in class. These phrases can be a mix of every day phrases (May I use the restroom?), or anchors for academic vocabulary (These words are synonyms...) that they will hear across all contents. ESL teachers support students in every single content area, and having colorful academic vocabulary both catches their eye and takes away some of the stress of feeling overwhelmed by the mix of language AND content at the same time.

Seeing the words that they hear all day helps them put sounds and meanings to words, which is a skill that will benefit them in school as well as out in the world.

When trying to purchase these types of charts, posters, etc., I just can't find things they are as specific or relevant to my personal students as I would like. I want to print as many of these anchor charts and monthly academic word walls as I can, which means creating the resources on my own. This color printer would be a DREAM for me and building the most supportive classroom I can!!
