Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We have a lot of newcomers in our school community. Newcomer students come from many different countries and diverse cultural backgrounds. These students need the love and support of their new community, but also support with social emotional and academic skills.

This project is about letting my students be able to express themselves with different art mediums in a way where there is no language barrier.

I want my students to be exposed to different art supplies in a safe space where they can explore freely in what ever language they want. I want my students to expressing themselves through art with dot markers, paint, chalk, watercolors and many more art supplies.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
