My Project

My class consists of 20 at risk students. Many of our students have never been in a school setting before. I want to provide as many hands on experiences as possible and make learning fun.

Sensory bins help the students use their five senses to explore and learn.

Creating sensory bins using a variety of materials and textures will help develop the sense of touch. The sensory bins will have materials that are soft, hard, smooth, bumpy, rough and cold. The students can experiment with all of these different textures.
