My Project

Our 5th graders in Virginia study the transformation of energy. They learn about all type of energy including Mechanical, Electrical, Light, Thermal, and Sound Energy. With the items requested in this project, our young scientists will be able to get their hands on materials necessary to see energy transforming before their own eyes. In our science classroom, we use the inquiry approach that includes 5 Es: Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, and Evaluate. The trays will allow us to separate items into small groups so that students have each have their turn engaging with their group’s materials.
