My Project

In my classroom I am so grateful to be able to work with students who have different interests and abilities. My youngest learners are 4-year-old boys and girls who love to be read to and learn lessons from books read to them. Books like the Patrick Picklebottom series, The Two of us Belong Together , and We Walk through the Forest are beautiful stories that my students will love and learn important lessons about friendship, growth and hard work. My oldest learners are 3rd graders who are wonderfully independent readers who love graphic novels. The Never Girls, and Baby Sitters Club graphic novels are a fan favorite. The Owl Diaries are also a series that my students are in love with. My students also love books about nature and when we can go outside at the end of the day to read these books together it brings a new level of magic to our stories. All my readers in between these grades are emerging and beginners and are still exploring their newfound independence when reading and our new library will enhance their abilities to do this and give them the confidence they need to keep learning and growing!
