Help me give my students access to the wonderful world of Manga. Students have been asking for the Fazbear Frights series all year, and My Hero Academia is a classic series.

My Project

Over the course of the first semester, students have been asking for more manga for the school library.

Integrating the Fazbear Frights series and the My Hero Academia manga into our school library will significantly boost student engagement by aligning our collection with current youth interests.

As of 2026, these franchises remain at the forefront of popular culture, offering unique educational and social benefits that traditional literature sometimes struggles to provide.

The Fazbear Frights anthology series, part of the Five Nights at Freddy's universe, is an exceptional tool for engaging "reluctant readers." These horror novellas are structured as short, high-stakes stories that provide immediate gratification for students with shorter attention spans. Beyond their thrills, they explore complex themes of morality, the consequences of technology, and emotional resilience. Adding these titles helps transform the library into a space that validates students' personal interests, encouraging them to view reading as a recreational activity rather than just a school requirement.

Similarly, My Hero Academia is a premier example of the educational power of graphic novels and manga. It follows a diverse cast of characters navigating a world of superhuman "Quirks," focusing heavily on character growth, the ethics of power, and the importance of teamwork. For visual learners and English Language Learners (ELL), the combination of dynamic artwork and sophisticated dialogue provides a critical bridge to literacy. The series' emphasis on overcoming adversity and defining what it means to be a "hero" in everyday life resonates deeply with the social-emotional learning goals of our curriculum.

Providing modern, high-demand content demonstrates that our institution respects contemporary storytelling mediums. Ultimately, adding Fazbear Frights and My Hero Academia will foster a more inclusive, vibrant reading culture that prepares students to engage with a wide variety of narrative styles.
