My Students

I am a sixth-year teacher in a low-income, high-poverty school district. My students are constantly overcoming numerous challenges both in and out of school. The majority of my students are commuters from out of district and utilize our after-school child care. In our district, 100% of the students receive free breakfast, lunch, and some even receive an after-school meal!

My students are energetic and have a love of learning!

Every day they come to school with an eagerness to learn and love exploring new technology in the classroom! The ultimate goal is to foster my students with an abundance of creative and meaningful learning experiences.

My Project

Every day my students participate in Language Arts centers. In these centers, they rotate through a variety of customized tasks that help them achieve their learning targets; such as letter identification, beginning sounds, and properly forming letters.

Student engagement will increase when these new alphabet puzzles, textured alphabet tracers, and Wikki Sticks are added into their learning rotations!

By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention, but you will also perk their academic interest and achievement. My students already have shown tremendous interest in becoming readers and writers, and this project will only help enrich their experiences.
