Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The Calming Colors rug and the sit spots will allow all of my first-grade students to have a designated spot to sit at for learning activities.

The biggest priority for first-grade students is to learn to read.

We will use the rug and sit spots to allow all students a place to sit for listening to books being read, Phonics instruction and Math Talks. This will allow them to focus on learning instead of being distracted by where to sit each time they come to the floor.

The Calming Colors rug and sit spots will provide a clean, cheerful space for all students to learn.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
