My Students

I teach 2nd grade at Hmong College Prep Academy. These kids are creative, kind, and inspired learners. They are motivated by self achievement and peer support! I love that these students are determined to impress themselves and their teachers.

HCPA is almost 90% ELL qualified.

Many tasks are difficult for the high level ELL students, but the growth mindset is strong.

The school has a shared vision to provide the best we can for all students in an individual, group as well as community.

My Project

The students in our school are often shy and quiet. Especially the students lacking in strong language skills. They have such great ideas, but are often intimidated to share aloud. I tytpically hear from the same students over and over.

Using this tossable microphone can help engage each learner and allow for more sharing in class!

The qball is easy and safe to toss from student to student. It allows their voice to be amplified to a speaker in the room. This device can be used in any lesson and throughout the day. I think it can really help my students share more!
