My Students

I have 66 wonderfully awesome fifth and sixth-grade students. They are truly an amazing group, and I am so lucky and thankful to be a part of their learning process each year! In my class, we strive to build a community around relationships and high expectations.

Our school strives to find the leader in all students.

Every child has awesome capabilities, talents, and strengths; sometimes, all it takes is exposure or motivation.

The students in my class strive for excellence. They all inherently care about one another and continually make an effort to improve in all aspects.

My Project

As children returned to school after winter break several students were engaged in a conversation about what time they wake up and how long it takes them to get to school. After this conversation, a student secretly told me that one of the students stated that they are hungry every day. The student also stated that students told them to ask if they could have snacks to take home. Feeding hungry children is always a win-win situation.

It is a true reality that if a children fail to receive some nutrition throughout the day that child will remain unfocused and perform poorly academically.

These snacks are being requested so that students will have snacks at school and a snack to eat on their way home. The students will utilize the popcorn bags to assist with spilling popcorn and the paper towels and wipes will be utilized for cleaning and mitigating germs.
