Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Workstations are an important part in our 5th grade class. During guided reading and math, I work with a small group of students while the rest of the class is working collaboratively in groups.

Students work on a range of assignments from reading comprehension to vocabulary and writing therefore they need to be engaged.

The items I am requesting will help students be successful during this workstation time. The timer will be used for students to keep track of time. The Social & Emotional prompts will be used for students to write independently during the writing workstation. Students will be able to use the stadium seat when it is their turn for flexible seating. These items will help students be successful. The students really enjoy workstations because they get to collaborate with their peers while working on assignments at their level. Additionally, the flag football set will be used during PE when we play Capture the Flag.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
