Students read independently, with partners, in small groups, and sometimes as a whole class. We spend time talking about books, asking questions, making predictions, and sharing our thinking.\r\n\r\nBook series are a wonderful way to get kids hooked on reading because once students connect with the characters and become invested in their stories, they are eager to find out what happens next. Finishing one book often creates excitement for the next, giving students a natural reason to keep reading. Series also provide a sense of familiarity and confidence—students already know the characters, writing style, and world, which can make reading feel less intimidating. For students who may not yet consider themselves \"readers,\" finding a series they love can be the spark that turns reading from something they have to do into something they genuinely want to do.\r\n\r\nThank you so much for supporting our classroom and investing in our students! Your generosity provided my students with new and engaging books that can help them discover the joy of reading. Your contributions make it possible for students to explore new stories, connect with characters, and find book series that keep them excited to read.","fullyFundedDate":1778004752273,"projectUrl":"project/keep-the-reading-going/10193154/","projectTitle":"Keep the Reading Going","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. OLeary","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp197909_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1472073879151","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/doleary"},{"teacherId":8918787,"projectId":10145477,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for donating to our class project!
