This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is at the heart of the community. The students I work with are struggling in math and they want so badly to be successful. They love a challenge and are willing to work hard for it but remote learning has not been easy for them.

Our school is located in the heart of West Humboldt Park.

Our students come from low-income, hard-working families. School is their chance to make their families proud. They absolutely love being here, and I, in turn, love being here for them.

My Project

All of my students are struggling math students who work with me on a daily basis in a small group. It is vital that they have the organized materials needed to help them visualize many of math's abstract concepts.

Although many of my students struggle with math they still work hard and enjoy our small group time and with these materials they will have the ability to focus on growing in math.

We are in need of these materials to continue to stay organized and focused on our learning so that my students can do their best.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
