Equipment for High School Basketball Team

Help me give my students duffle bags to carry their gear during throughout the day, reversible jerseys to practice in, basketballs to practice with, and a water cooler to keep the kids from getting dehydrated while playing outside.

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

We are a low income school in Miami and our students have fewer opportunities and resources than the more wealthier schools in our area. We work hard to achieve high levels of success with fewer resources.

My students are a great group of hard working young men who spend a lot of time working on their basketball skills when they're not in the classroom, and I believe that they deserve to have the same opportunities as everyone else.

They would be very grateful, to receive some of the materials that are necessary to be successful as a basketball team such as basketballs for practice, gym bags to carry their gear and equipment, as well as reversible practice jerseys. We also will have to practice outside because of the multiple sports also going on simultaneously with our season, so I would like to have some water dispensers to keep the guys hydrated. Especially in this Miami heat. Thank you for your consideration.

My Project

My basketball team in the past has played in white tee shirts during practice and it makes it difficult when we need to scrimmage each other and they all have the same colored shirts on. So the reversible jerseys will solve that problem and also allow us to look like a legitimate team. They also need bags so they don't have to cram all of their equipment into their bag for school. We need basketballs so that we're able to practice as well as water coolers to keep the players hydrated especially with the fact that we will be practicing outside in south Florida.
