Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a high school science teacher, my goal is to create an engaging environment where students can actively participate in hands-on experiments and projects. Midway through the school year, I realized that several additional materials are needed to make this vision a reality and help my students stay organized while learning.

I’m requesting the following supplies to improve our classroom:

Tabletop Broom and Dustpan: For quick clean-up during messy labs and experiments, helping us stay organized and efficient.

Pens for Grading: High-quality pens for providing clear feedback on assignments, quizzes, and projects.

Chromosome Kit: A model kit to help students visualize and understand complex concepts like mitosis and meiosis, making cell division easier to grasp.

Laminating Pouches: To protect lab directions, worksheets, and materials, ensuring they last for future classes and are easy to clean.

Glue Sticks: For hands-on projects that involve creating models, diagrams, and other interactive activities.

Small Transparent Rulers: These will assist students in measuring accurately during experiments and creating precise diagrams.

File/Plastic Organizers: To keep student worksheets, handouts, and materials organized for easy access during lessons.

Card-stock Paper: Durable paper for printing lab instructions and classroom materials that hold up over time.

Markers- Bright colors enhance diagrams and models and make them visually appealing and helps retain information.

These items will help my students learn more effectively and stay organized for the rest of the year. Your support will make a huge difference in the quality of their education. Thank you for helping us create a better learning environment!
