This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My high school sports medicine students strive to learn from real-world situations and experiences in our exercise lab. Living in a low-income neighborhood they have challenges based on a lack of exposure to the appropriate technology. They are constantly telling me “It would be easier to learn if we had equipment to use." They are excited to learn and motivated to be successful. Help brighten the future of these already bright students by giving them access to needed technology.

The addition of these lightning detectors and Heat Stress Meter Anemometer will help us study the environmental impacts in sports medicine.

The addition of this equipment will allow us to add lessons to our curriculum regarding the environment that students currently aren't exposed to interactively. Being able to conduct hands on labs within these lessons will increase there opportunities for success.
