My Project

Education cannot be taught or learned correctly when a student is sidetracked by hunger, feeling less than because their clothing is dirty/torn/outdated, and/or being made fun of because their hygiene isn't up the standard it should be.

My rural district will soon open a PreK-12 food pantry/closet that will help all of our families thrive in the education system.

The food pantry/closet is in need of moveable racks that will hold the clothing, shoes, sock bins, and hygiene items (parts 2-4 of this project). These chosen racks have adjustable shelving, two rods, and holds up to a maximum of 400 pounds, allowing the space to be used the most efficiently.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
