My Students

I teach 1st grade students in a lower-mid class community. Most my students come from homes that have 2 working parents, or single parent homes.

My students have a wide range of strengths and abilities.

But most of all, my students are all unique and awesome in their own way!

I also coach three First LEGO Robotics teams on two different levels and teach after-school coding and robotics for students in grades K-6.

My Project

Due to the on going pandemic, my students range of abilities stretches a wide spectrum. I have students who experienced an in school experience for the first time this year, students who did not attend Kindergarten, and students who have excelled in school during the pandemic and are above grade level.

A consequence of the pandemic has caused large learning gaps for many students.

As teachers it is our challenge to close these gaps, while still providing enriching and meaningful learning experiences for those students who are on grade level or above grade level.

By using Osmo learning resources and Lego Boost Robotics/Coding, I can still provide engaging and meaningful learning experiences for students to work independently, while working in small groups and one on one to help struggling students.
