This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project aims to enhance the organization and accessibility of resources in our special education classroom by acquiring a ClosetMaid 6 Cube Storage Shelf Organizer Bookshelf. This storage solution will provide a designated space to store essential materials, such as educational resources, learning aids, and individual student supplies. Additionally, we aim to include artsdi 13x13 Inch Cube Storage Bins to complement the shelf organizer, allowing for further categorization and organization of materials.

Importance of Storage Organizations and Library Shelves in a Special Education Class:

Promoting Independence: By having a designated storage space, students in the special education class can learn and practice organization skills, promoting independence and fostering a sense of responsibility for their own materials.

Visual Organization: The use of storage shelves and bins allows for visual organization of resources, making it easier for students to locate and access materials independently. This is particularly beneficial for students with special needs who may require visual cues for organization.
