Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My elementary school STEM classroom provides a fun environment that promotes learning through trial and error. It serves as a launching pad for students to explore different subjects through the process of project-based learning.

In my PreK-2 classes, we use sensory bins as a way to explore and create.

In my first grade class, we are doing a project called "Made by Me" where students are given free rein of materials to plan and build something. This requires a ton of different types of tape for all the different materials.

In my kindergarten class, we are learning all about everyday tools such as spoons, pans, pots, and screwdrivers (makedos).

In our upcoming unit in second grade, students are creating an art piece with working LED lights that require copper tape and flashlights to show how circuits work!
