Engaging Self Regulation Books and Materials for Effective Learning

Help me give my students books and materials to support their self regulation skills. My students enjoy the Little Spot book series and will be excited to see new titles.

My Project

My students are an amazing group of learners who may need some additional support to help them be successful. My small groups may include building confidence in their skills, learning how to manage their emotions, and developing communication skills to create peer relationships.

The books and sensory materials will engage students to discuss topics, practice coping skills, and develop peer relationships.

Books and activities promote interactions within small groups. Students respond well to lessons contained in the Little Spot books. Activities like the conversation cubes help develop peer relationships. They often need some coaching to practice their coping skills with materials like putty or soft marble mazes.

Activities and visuals allow students to practice self-regulation strategies in a small, skill-focused group. They will then get support in their classrooms to apply learned skills. The goal is to give students that extra boost to help them be successful learners in the general education classroom.
