My Students

Hey there!

I teach in Englewood, Chicago.

My students are an eclectic bunch with differing needs. A lot of them have to deal with situations that most kids don't because of the community were in. We don't have the same resources as most students do in affluent school districts. My students, all students, deserve the same resources, the best resources in order to excel and succeed at their full potential.

When the ride rises, all boats rise. This quote means a lot to us. When we all are hit with adversities, we all rise to help. We are a community. A community that supports, and loves one another, unconditionally.

My Project

We are hybrid land remote earning at the moment. Everything is done online. Pear Deck really helps engage my students and allow me to present fun lesson plans.

I teach civics and social studies which requires a lot of discussion.

Since we are remote it is not possible to have in person discussions. Pear Deck allows me to achieve this by inserting polls, questions, prompts etc. The students can also see who said what which makes it much more interactive. It also makes it easy for me to evaluate my students.
