Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are incredibly hardworking and passionate individuals who stay late after school to connect with their culture through the art of Ballet Folklorico. I love their dedication; they spend hours mastering complex footwork and traditional choreography, often coming straight from a long school day without a chance to eat. They show up with bright smiles and a readiness to learn, demonstrating a deep respect for their heritage and a strong sense of community.

These resources will directly impact their ability to learn and perform.

When students are hungry, it is difficult for them to focus on the intricate rhythms and physical demands of dance. The fruit snacks and granola bars will provide the quick energy they need to stay alert and engaged during rehearsals. The Gatorade will ensure they stay hydrated as they practice their high-energy routines. By providing these snacks, you are helping me create a supportive environment where my students can focus entirely on their artistic growth and cultural pride rather than their hunger.
