Endeavour Theatre Arts Club: Keeping the Drama On Stage!
My students need 2 speakers for the stage we use for our drama class/club. We plan to put on several plays that require the use of pre-recorded sounds.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
One of people's greatest fears is speaking in public. Our Theatre Arts Club helps kids overcome those fears by giving them the opportunity to perform full length plays on stage. Our current stage is beautiful, but lacks a quality sound system.
Our students come from a diverse background, all shapes and sizes.
They are highly motivated, and love performing. At the middle school age, they are craving acceptance from their peers, and the Theatre Arts Club gives them the confidence they need to succeed in all situations.
The students in our program love performing, but are limited based on the resources we have access to. In California, the education budget in our district alone was slashed 11 million dollars, cutting student days, and teacher stipends. The Theatre Arts Club is one of the few clubs that kids can turn to in the face of our budget crisis. Despite all that, the kids shine in every performance.
My Project
Using the speakers as part of the sound system will allow the shows the kids put on to have more of a rich tone, as well as allow pre-recorded music and sound effects to be used to enhance the overall theatre experience for not only the kids, but the audience as well. The students will learn how to hook up sound systems, and the purposes of using quality sound for dramatic presentations.
Theatre is slowly becoming a lost form of entertainment in this digital age.
Kids are spending more and more time in front of video games and movies, and less time being active. Theatre is a hands-on, professional form of entertainment that builds community, and builds confidence in the kids. Overall, theatre helps build up the future by allowing kids to be creative, and drive up their confidence with each show.
