Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am deeply passionate about my students, a diverse group facing significant challenges. In our Title I school, many are immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers, grappling with the burdens of trauma and poverty. Despite their resilience, most are two grade levels or more behind in reading. It's this very resilience that motivates me to provide them with the tools to overcome these obstacles.

The diverse emergent reader books I am requesting will be a transformative force in their learning journey.

By offering engaging stories that resonate with their experiences, these books will not only enhance their reading skills but also foster a love for learning. My goal is to bridge the educational gaps, empowering each student to rise above their circumstances. These young minds are special because they embody hope, determination, and a thirst for knowledge that deserves to be nurtured. Together, let's create a brighter future for these remarkable students.
